Noted director and screenwriter Anil Ganguly passed away today in Mumbai after a brief illness. He was 82. Ganguly worked in Hindi cinema from 1970s to the 90s and is best known for "Kora Kagaz" and "Tapasya". <br/><br/>Both these films won the National Awards. His other notable films are "Saaheb", " Trishna", "Khandaan", "Humkadam", "Pyar Ke Kabil" and "Dushman Devta'' among others.
