The government has identified Film Tourism as a niche tourism product. Giving this information in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi said that his ministry has requested state governments to recognise the potential of Film Tourism and to constitute special bodies to facilitate filming in the states.

However, no specific spots have been identified in the country by the tourism ministry to attract foreign filmmakers, he said.
