Hindi film Padmaavat has been released all over the country today amid protests and high security. <br/><br/>In Rajasthan, except a few cinema halls, most of the cinema houses are not screening the film. Rajput organizations today called for public curfew, which saw partial impact in many places including district headquarters. <br/><br/>The state Government has made extensive arrangements of security to maintain law and order in the state. <br/><br/>Additional police force has been deployed at Chittorgarh as Rani Padmani hails from this place.<br/>'<br/>In Gujarat, a bandh call given by Karni Sena and other anti Padmavaat organisations has evoked mix response. Normal life is running smoothly in most of the urban areas including Ahmedabad. <br/>'<br/>In Madhya Pradesh, multiplex association has decided not to screen the movie in the state. Principle Secretary V.P Singh said that sufficient security will be provided to the Cinema halls and Multiplexes showing the movie. <br/>'<br/>In Chhattiagarh Over 100 people belonging to different outfits were today arrested while participating in protests against the film "Padmaavat" in some major cities of state.The film, which was released in theatres across the state amidst tight security, attracted sporadic protests.<br/>'<br/>In Maharashtra, film "Padmaavat" was released without any untoward incident in the state today. <br/><br/>Meanwhile the Kolkata Police today said that it has made elaborate security arrangements across the city, especially around malls and multiplexes, to ensure no violence happens after the release of the controversial film 'Padmaavat'.<br/><br/>A senior police official said that anyone found disrupting peace will face strict action. He said, no group will be allowed to assemble near movie theatres. He also said, police personnel in plain clothes have been deployed to keep a watch on the crowd inside theatres. No untoward incident was reported in Kolkata. Nearly 130 theatres are screening the film in West Bengal. <br/><br/>In Mumbai, Police is maintaining a strict vigil outside theatres in the city. The city police yesterday took more than 100 supporters of the Karni Sena into preventive custody as they gathered to hold protests against the film at various places.<br/>'<br/>In Uttar Pradesh, armed policemen have been stationed at vantage points where the film is screened to tackle any trouble.
