The late Satyajit Roy’s favorite film editor Mr. Dulal Dutta breathed his last on Tuesday. He was 87. He was admitted into The Tagore Institutional Cardiac Sciences a week ago after he suffered cerebral hemorrhage and had been on ventilations since. Mr. Dutta edited most of Satyajit Roy’s films from ‘Pather Panchali’ to ‘Agantuk’. Expressing sorrow over the death, Sandip Roy, film director and son of late Satyajit Roy said that, Mr. Dutta had a great matching of wavelength with his father which was one of the primary causes of productions of great films.
