The filing of nominations for Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh begins today. The polls are to be held on 13th of October. The last date for filing nomination is 25th of this month. The scrutiny will begin next day and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is 29th.The counting of votes will take place on 22nd of October. Our correspondent reports, all the three states are being ruled by Congress, which shares power in Maharashtra with NCP as a major coalition partner. Maharashtra has a 288-member Assembly, Haryana a 90-member House and Arunachal Pradesh Assembly has 60 members. Assembly elections for Haryana have been advanced by the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in the back of Congress' good show in Lok Sabha elections by bagging nine out of 10 seats in the state.
