Filing of nominations for 128 Lok Sabha seats, spread over 16 states closes. Of these, 121 seats go to the polls on the 17th of next month while the remaining seven seats, go to polls on 12th April.
In Bihar filing of nominations for 7 Lok Sabha seats going to polls on April 17 ended today. In Arrah 6 candidates, Nalanda 13 candidates, Munger 5 candidates and Buxar 6 candidates filed their nominations on the last day.

In Rajasthan 152 candidates filed their nominations for 20 seats of first phase polling on the last day for filing nominations. With this 301 candidates have filed nominations for these seats
Union Minister Chandresh Kumari katoch of Congress filed her nomination from Jodhpur and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathor filed his nomination as BJP candidate from Jaipur Rural constituency. In Sikar rebel BJP member and former Union Minister Subhash Maharia also today filed nomination from Sikar.
In Goa filing of nominations ended today. 21 candidates have filed nominations paper including 10 from South and 11 from North Goa Parliamentary seats.
Scrutiny of nominations for all these constituencies will take place tomorrow. 29th of March will be the last date for withdrawal of nominations in these constituencies.
Filing of nominations for 32 Assembly constituencies, in Sikkim and 77 in Odisha also ended today.
