In Bihar, filing of nomination papers for the first of the ten phases of elections of Gram Panchayats and local bodies began today. During this phase, the election will be held in 61 Blocks of the State on April 20th. The last day of filing of nomination papers for this phase is March 3rd. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be held from 4th March to 7th March. Candida dates can withdraw their nomination papers till 9th March. AIR Patna Correspondent reports that elections for over two lakhs sixty thousand posts of Gram Panchayats and local bodies will be held in different phases of elections in the State.
