The Supreme Court has asked the Centre to file an affidavit clarifyng the policy criterion for selecting and dropping companies for the purpose of coal block allocation.
The apex court said that the CBI probe report prima facie suggests irregularities in coal block allocation.
The court has directed the CBI not to share its report with the government and give it in writing to the court.
This comes four days after the probe agency submitted its latest probe status report to the top court in a sealed envelope.
The CBI has registered a fresh case in the coal scam against a Jharkhand based company which was allotted the North Dhadu coal block in 2006 for its sponge iron plant.
