Fiji's Interim Minister for Defence, National Security and Immigration, Ratu Epeli Ganilau has resigned. Mr Ganilau had been also acting as the country's interim Prime Minister while Commodore Frank Bainimarama is in China for trade talks. No reason for his resignation has been given, but reports say that he was unhappy about being forced to approve the deportation of a business executive involved in water exports.The Interim Minister for Primary Industries will act as country's Prime Minister until Commodore Bainimarama returns next week.
