Continuing to bet on the government's reforms agenda, overseas investors have pumped in over 17,000 crore rupees in the Indian capital market so far in September. According to the official data, net investments by foreign investors in the equity market were 6,665 crore rupees from September 1 to 12, while they infused 10,432 crore rupees in the debt market during the period, taking the total to 17,098 crore rupees.Since the beginning of the year, foreign investors have made a net investment of nearly 2 lakh crore rupees into the country's securities market. This includes a net investment of 85,000 crore rupees in equities and 1.1 lakh crore rupees into debt market. Strong inflows in the recent months have taken the cumulative net investments of FIIs into India to 204 billion dollars, in nearly 22 years, which includes about 160 billion dollars investments into equities and about 44 billion dollars in debt.
