Foreign investors pumped-in more than 15,500 crore rupees in Indian equities this month, ahead of the tapering of the US Federal Reserve's stimulus programme starting in January. According to SEBI data, foreign funds were gross buyers of shares worth 61,492 crore rupees, and sellers of equities worth 45,940 crore rupees, till December 27, resulting in a net inflow of about 15,553 crore rupees. So far in 2013, FIIs have invested 1.13 lakh crore rupees in the domestic stock market.
