FII inflows reach Rs 21000 crore so far in January

Overseas investors have pumped in a staggering over 21,000 crore rupees in Indian capital markets since the beginning of the month owing to easing inflation and rate cut by Reserve Bank of India. Central Depository Services Limited said that Foreign Institutional Investors have bought shares worth 5,992 crore rupees till January 23, while bought debt worth 15,336 crore rupees taking the total investment to 21,328 crore rupees.Overall, net investment by foreign investors stood at 2.58 lakh crore rupees in 2014.
