In FIH Women's Series Finals, India comfortably beat Uruguay 4-1 in its first Pool-A match at Hiroshima in Japan this evening.

The goals were scored by Rani Rampal in the 10th minute, Gurjit Kaur in the 21st minute, Jyoti in the 40th minute and Lalremsiami in the 56th minute. India will next face Poland tomorrow in its second Pool-A match. The match will be played at 2:30 PM IST. 

Later in the evening, India will clash with South Africa in the title clash of the FIH Men's Series Finals at Bhubaneswar, Odisha this evening. The match will start at 7:15 PM at the Kalinga Stadium.

Winning their respective semi-finals, India and South Africa had set up the summit clash yesterday and sealed their berths in the Olympic Qualifiers. Top two teams of this tournament were to join 12 others for the 14-team Olympic Qualifiers to be held in October-November this year.

Like the Men's Finals, Women's teams that finish at the top two in the tournament will make it to the Olympics qualifier to be held later this year.
