FIH Women's Hockey World Cup: New Zealand defeat India

India went down tamely 0-3 to New Zealand in its final pool A match of the FIH Women's Hockey World Cup. The Indians held New Zealand goalless in the first half but the Kiwis led by skipper Kayla Sharland packed too much ammunition in the second half. The New Zealand goal scores were Sharland and Katie Glynn. The Black Sticks will now play China for 7-8 position. India's chances were limited by excellent Black Sticks defending.The Indians recorded only one win in their five Pool Matches and finished fifth in the pool standings with three points. They will now play South Africa for the 9-10 position on Friday.
