Figure reveals that less number of civilians killed in Iraq this year

Figures just released suggest there has been a drop this year in the number of civilians killed in Iraq. Statistics were published by Iraq Body Count, the most respected organisation to record casualties. While level of violence has come down sharply from the peak of 2006-07, people continue to be killed every day. On an average two bombs go up somewhere in Iraq daily, killing, on an average four people. The death count of the year was just under four thousand, but the IBC says a possible minimum may have been reached which would condemn civilians to continue dying in a low level conflict for years to come.
