Heavy exchange of fire between Maoists and Joint forces is now on at Lalgarh in West Midnapore district of West Bengal. The incident comes two days after Maoists killed 24 Eastern Frontier Rifle jawans at Silda in the same district. Our correspondent reports that security personnel were on a routine patrol, when they were engaged by the ultras in Bhulagaya village. The State Cabinet today condemned the killings of jawans in a meeting presided over by the Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. It also reviewed the security scenario in the wake of the gruesome maoist attack on the security camp.
