Fighting in the Somali capital of Mogadishu has intensified a day after 40 people including six members of Parliament were killed. Heavy shelling by Islamist militants and government forces continued early today. Meanwhile, the U.N. Security Council has strongly condemned the yesterday's suicide bombing. The Council in a statement called for the attackers to be brought swiftly to justice.
