Media reports say, fighting is continuing in Libya despite further waves of attacks by international aircrafts on Colonel Gaddafi's forces. At least nine people were reported to have been killed by troops loyal to the Libyan leader in the city of Misrata, the only big rebel stronghold in western Libya. In the east, government troops used tanks to halt a rebel advance. There have been explosions and heavy anti-aircraft fire in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, for a third night. The Libyan authorities said that a naval base and the fishing village near the capital were also hit by air attacks.
