In Yemen, fighting continues between government forces and opposition tribal militia in the capital Sana. Reports say that fighting, which started on 23rd of this month, has claimed more than 70 lives so far. Tribesmen loyal to powerful tribal chief Sadeq al-Ahmar have also seized some public buildings in Sanaa amid gun battles with Yemen's security forces.US President Barack Obama has called on Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh to immediately honour his promise to transfer power in a deal with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Arab states that would see him leave in 30 days. Keeping in view the situation in capital Sana, the US has ordered non-emergency staff from its embassy to leave the country. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has also called on parties in Yemen to cease hostilities to avoid further bloodshed.
