Fight is against Pakistan not any particular individual: Shiv Sena

Shiv Sena said that their fight is against Pakistan and not against any particular individual. Justifying the act of cancellation of the gazal maestro Gulam Ali's concert in Mumbai, Sena in the editorial of its mouthpiece Saamana said that unless and until, Pakistan stops its interference in the Indian affairs, Sena will continue opposing Pakistan, then be it Gulam Ali, Kasuri or any cricketer. The editorial said that no matter how much people love Gulam Ali, but for Sena country comes first.

Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali, whose concert in Mumbai was called off after resistance from the Shiv Sena cancelled all his scheduled performances in the country, saying that he won't return to India until "things are settled down". Sena said that since people of India believe that singers like Gulam Ali can bridge the gap between the two nations with their skills.

Sena has asked Gulam Ali to apply the same skills in Pakistan and should bring about changes in the minds of people like Hafiz Saeed and play the role of mascot of peace. Lashing BJP over their dual stands, Sena said that on one hand BJP Chief Minister proposes security cover to Gulam Ali and on the other hand it targets actor Shah Rukh Khan. Sena said the superstar should not be targeted only because he is a Muslim.
