A five hundred million pound contract on the supply of fifty-seven hawk jet trainers aircraft is expected to be signed in Bangaore today when the British Prime Minister Mr. David Cameron visit's Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Under the contract, the BAE Systems, the biggest Defence Contractor of Britain will build these jet trainers in collaboration with their Indian partners HAL. Mr. Cameron arrived in Banaglore on Tuesday evening on a two-day state visit to India. A major cultural agreement, the first of its kind between India and Britain will also be signed in New Delhi on Thursday. Mr. Cameron who is accompanied by a high level delegation including several Cabinet Ministers, CEOs of leading British business houses and Vice Chancellors of renowned British universities will be holding delegations level talks with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Civil nuclear cooperation, Afghanistan and British government’s restrictions on non- EU immigration of skilled labour and a host of other bilateral, regional and international issues are expected to be discussed during the meeting. The two sides are also expected to discuss extension by another five years of India-UK Education and Research Initiative. Mr. Cameron who will be given ceremonial reception in the morning on Thursday at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan is also scheduled to have a luncheon meeting with the captains of Indian Industry in the capital.
