In Bihar amidst elaborate security arrangements in naxal infested areas of the state the fifth phase of assembly pools for 35 constituencies began on Tuesday morning. AIR Patna correspondent reports that polling will continue up to 5 p.m. except 14 naxal affected constituencies where it will end at 3 p.m.In Hilsa, Belaganj and Wazirganj constituencies polling will be concluded one hour before the scheduled time.Out of 9143 polling booths 5123 are sensitive. Over 81 lakh electorates will decide the political fortune of 490 candidates including 44 women. Congress and BSP are contesting on all seats. While Janta Dal ( United) is contesting from 22 seats its ally BJP is contesting in remaining 13. RJD has fielded 20 candidates and its ally LJP 15. CPI is contesting from07 seats and CPM is contesting on 02 seats.CPI (ML)is contest in 23 seats.The Director General of Police told AIR that jawans of central para military forces (CPMF) have been deployed at all polling booths.
