Fifth edition of Chennaiyil Thiruvaiyuru launched

The Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr Jagathrakshakan launched the fifth edition of Chennaiyil Thiruvaiyuru on Friday. The eight day event will have wide range of singers in classical music. An exhibition of music albums by various artistes is also on at the venue.<br/><br/>Students of the University of Madras have an interesting mission next month. The University has sought their support, particularly of those in the NSS wings, to collect as many books asp possible in the republic day. Vice Chancellor Mr. G Thirunavukkarasu said that with about 25 thousand NSS students its own departments and affiliated colleges, the University sought to collect as many as 12 lakh books, which would be given to the Modern State Library Complex in Kotturpuram.<br/><br/>An All India Exhibition on building and construction industry will begin in the City today. Builders, building materials, construction equipments,interior and exterior and home loans will be available in the mega exhibition.<br/>
