Fifteen member team for World Cup announced

BCCI secretary N Srinivasan has announced India's 15-member squad for the upcoming cricket World Cup to be held in the sub-continent from February 19th. The announcement came after a meeting of the selection committee held at Chennai yesterday. Leg spinner Piyush Chawla was the surprise inclusion while batsmen Rohit Sharma and S Sreesanth were dropped. The team will be captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni the major concern ahead of the selection committee was the injuries to four key players – Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and pacer Praveen Kumar but the selectors decided to include them, expecting all four to be fit in time. The mega event will be held from the 19th of February to the 2nd of April in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
