Defending Champions Italy have crashed out of 2010 FIFA World Cup after suffering a shock 2-3 defeat at the hands of Slovakia in a Group F match in Johannesburg today. Slovakia finished second in the Group with four points and entered the Second Round. In another fixture of the same group in Polokwane, New Zealand held Paraguay to a goalless draw. Paraguay advanced to the second round by topping the Group with five points. Italy are the second soccer powerhouse and former champions to crash out of the group stage of this tournament after France. At Midnight tonight, the last two league matches of Group E will be played. Denmark will take on Japan in Rustenburg, while Cameroon will play the Netherlands in Cape Town. The Netherlands have already qualified for the Round of Sixteen with 6 points.
