FIFA World Cup: Netherlands beat Japan 1-0

In the FIFA World Cup on Saturday, the The Netherlands defeated Japan 1-0 in a Group E clash in Durban. With two wins in two games, the Netherlands are now on the verge of qualifying for the knock-out phase of the World Cup. Playmaker Wesley Sneijder grabbed the match winner in the 54th minute with a stinging drive from outside the box. In the Group D match, now under way in Rustenberg, Ghana and Australia were level one-one, a short while ago. Australia were reduced to 10 men in the 25th minute when Harry Kewell was shown the Red Card. At Midnight tonight, Cameroon will face Denmark in Pretoria in Group E.
