FIFA U-17 World Cup: Germany outclass Colombia to enter quarter-finals

Germany have entered the quarter-finals of ongoing FIFA Under-17 World Cup. In the first match of Round of Sixteen at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi today, they outplayed South American team Colombia 4-nil. At half-time, the winners led Two-nil, through goals scored by Jann Arp in the 7th minute and Yann Bisseck in the 39th minute. After the break, John Bisseck scored the goal. Jann Aarp completed the tally by netting his second goal in the 65th minute.The second pre-quarterfinal encounter at the same venue at 8 p.m., Paraguay will lock horns with the United States. Four pre-quarterfinal fixtures are slated for tomorrow. In the matches to be played at 5 p.m., Iran will take on Mexico in Goa while France will meet Spain in Guwahati. In the encounters scheduled for 8 p.m. tomorrow, England will face Japan at Kolkata and Mali are pitted against Iraq in Goa.
