FIFA President Sepp Blatter has been re-elected as the head of world football. Mr Blatter, who took over FIFA in 1998, recorded a landslide victory on Wednesday by bagging 186 out of 203 votes cast. He was declared the winner after an 11th-hour call for a postponement of the election by England's Football Association ended in a crushing defeat. After the victory, Mr Blatter said that they will put FIFA's ship onto the right course in clear and transparent waters. He vowed to clean up the body's tarnished image but said that they will be needing time.
