In Jammu and Kashmir, a fierce encounter is on between militants and security forces in the outskirts of Srinagar city. A police spokesman said two militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) are reportedly holed up in the house in Malroo area. They said based on a specific information about the presence of militants at Malroo,2 Rashtriya Rifle troops and Special Operations Group of police laid a cordon late last night.In the morning when troops were about to storm a particular house, the militants opened fire. In retaliation, the security forces also fired back. The fierce encounter was still going on when the reports last came in. The security forces are evacuating all the civilians from the vicinity before they launch an assault to flush out the militants.
