Fidel to attend Par Session

The former Cuban leader Fidel Castro will attend the extraordinary Parliament Session to be held today at his request. The special session is likely to discuss important global issues. The Cuban Parliament, known as National People's Power Assembly, concluded its regular sessions on the 1st of this month. Castro, who will turn 84 next Friday, returned to public life after four years of retirement. He first appeared in public on July 7 and met students, diplomats and intellectuals.
