In another match in division 'A' Japan rout Philippines by 106-55. Chinese Taipei won their first game of the tournament by defeting DPR of Korea by 77-76 in a thrilling finish. In their first match in the expanded FIBA Asia zone, New Zealand was blown out by team China. The first division 'B' game took place between Singapore and first time participant Fiji. Singapore defeted Fiji by 103-38. The match between India and Uzbekistan in group 'A' is under progress.
