The Festivals of Baisakhi, Visu and Rongali Bihu are being celebrated today in different parts of the country with traditional ferver and enthusiasm. <br/><br/>These festivals are traditionally celebrated as New Year in many parts of the country. <br/><br/>On the occasion of Baisakhi a large number people also taking holy dip at Sangam in Allahabad and at various Ghats of ganga in Varanasi. <br/><br/>Several special prayers are also being organised in various temples. <br/><br/>In Gurudwars there are huge rush of Sikhs offering special obeisance and attending several other programmes being organised by Gurudwaras in several palaces in UP.<br/><br/>President, Vice President and Prime Minister have greeted the nation on the occasion.<br/>
