The festival of Idul-zuha or Baqrid will be celeberated on 27th October, as moon of last month of Islamic calender- Zilhijja, was seen on Wednesday, 17th October. This was announced by Markazi Chand Committee in Lucknow.

AIR Correspondent reports from Lucknow that festival of Idul-zuha is celebrated on the tenth day of Islamic month 'Zilhijja'. This festival coincides with the Haj pilgrimage in Mecca. Prayers are offered in the Idgah and mosques and the sacrificial meat is then distributed after the Id prayers. On Id-ul-Zuha, special `Dua` (prayer) is recited by Muslims all over the world for peace and prosperity.
