In Odisha, Marine Sanctuary authorities have erected a protective fencing to ensure safety of the newly hatching turtles at Gahirmatha nesting ground in the state. The eggs which are now under natural incubation process were under threat of the intruding canine species. Divisional Forest Officer, Manoj Kumar Mahapatra said that the protective barrier will remain intact till the eggs hatch during the mid of April.
