Government has asked for feed back from all stakeholders operating in WTO regime for working towards a smooth market access. Addressing a capacity building workshop on WTO and Trade issues the Commerce Secretary, Dr. Rahul Khullar said that the operators in the field must provide their concept and feed back to the government for forming an opinion on sectoral access in trade and services. Mr. Khullar was of the opinion that the capacity building depends on knowing the issues and resolving it, so that it can be turned into a business opportunity. The Commerce Secretary said that in bilateral and multi-lateral trade agreements, it is imperative that govenment receives suggestions on tariff and non-tariff barriers. He said the industry should also come forward with the idea whether they would like customisation of a particular sector in a particular area for smooth access to the market in the region.
