Roger Federer has crashed out of the Dubai Duty Free Championships despite having multiple match points against world No. 116 Evgeny Donskoy, who beat him 3-6, 7-6, 7-6. The Australian Open champion looked in complete control against the Russian as he won the first set six three but after losing a second-set tie-break having had three match points, he somehow succumbed to defeat. Incredibly, Federer served for the match at 5-3 up in the decider, before Donskoy broke back and then once again took a 6-5 lead. With Federer 5-1 up in the deciding tie-break, it looked as if Seventh seed Lucas Pouille awaits the Russian in the next round, after his 6-1, 6-4 win against Marius Copil.
