Former Prime Minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manmohan Singh today said that demonetization, hastily implemented GST and fear of tax terrorism have damaged the investment climate of the country.<br/><br/><br/>Addressing a press conference at Party headquarters in Ahmedabad, Dr Singh, called demonetization an ill thought decision and criticized the government for failing to assess the benefits of the move. <br/><br/>Talking about GST, Dr Singh said apart from multiple tax rates problems, there are many loopholes in the administrative arrangement of GST. <br/><br/>He said the concerns of small businessmen, traders and exporters need to be addressed.<br/><br/>Dr Singh also brushed aside several allegations of PM Modi including the failure of Congress in past 70 years, Congress being anti-Gujarati and delay by Congress in implementing Narmada Scheme.
