FDI goes up by 60% after Make In India Campaign launch

Foreign Direct Investment in the country has gone up by 60 percent to 77.86 billion dollar after the launch of Make in India campaign. <br/><br/>In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that after the launch of this initiative, there has been an unprecedented increase in FDI during the period October 2014 to September 2016. <br/><br/>Make in India was launched with an aim to promote India as an important investment destination and a global hub for manufacturing.
