<span style="color: #222222;">Food Corporation of India, FCI has moved two vessels to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and seven smaller vessels to Lakshadweep Islands to maintain food grain supply during the lockdown. Consumer Affairs Ministry said, FCI has ensured that sufficient quantity of food grains are made available in the remotest islands of the country.<br />''<br />'' During the 27 days of lockdown, about 1750 tonnes of food grain has been moved to Lakshadweep from Mangalore Port which is almost three times the normal monthly average. Similarly, a quantity of about 6500 tonnes has been moved from Kakinada Port to Port Blair, which is more than double the normal monthly average of three thousand tonnes. The Ministry said, continuous supply of food grains could be ensured in these Islands against all constraints posed due to countrywide lockdown. A quantity of around 1100 tonnes of food grains have been distributed in Lakshadweep Islands and around 5500 ton in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the last 27 days.<br />''<br />''The Ministry said, Lakshadweep has already lifted its quota of three months allocation under PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana, whereas Andaman and Nicobar Island has lifted quota of more than two months under the scheme.</span><br />
