The Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI of US has agreed to train 6 Railway Protection Force personnel on railway related security next year. The Railway Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee said that fund for the training programme will be borne by the US Government. <br/><br/>Speaking at the Investiture Ceremony of the RPF in New Delhi on Monday, Ms Banerjee said that several commando units, including 'Mahila Commando Company’, will soon be raised in the RPF. <br/><br/>She said that RPF's own training centre will soon be set up at Canning in West Bengal. She said that safety and security of the passengers are top priorities of the government and resources available with the RPF both men and material are needed to be further augmented. <br/><br/>Ms Banerjee said that that her ministry has recently approved creation of more than 5,000 new posts in the RPF for which a proposal has been sent to the Finance Ministry.
