With play starting half-an-hour early to cover up for lost time, Shakib with 2 wickets for 78 runs, first sent back Shikhar Dhawan for 173 runs and the new-man Rohit Sharma for 6 runs. Another spinner Jubair Hossain then claimed Virat Kohli for 14 runs. Murali Vijay with unbeaten 144 and Ajinkya Rahane 55 not out were at the crease at Lunch.
