Fate of 4 police men hang in balance following expiry of ultimatum by maoist

In Bihar the fate of four policemen held hostage by maoist continues to hang in balance following expiry of ultimatum given by their captors this afternoon.AIR Patna correspondent reports that securitymen who are under custody of maoists have been identified as Sub Inspector Rupesh Kumar Sinha, Officer incharge Abhay Yadav, Jamadar Lukus Tete and Havaldar Ehatsaam Khan.Naxals have offered release of 4 securitymen under their custody in exchange for release of eight of their comrades who are in the different jails of the state.Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is himself is supervising the rescue operation of the abducted policemen.Mr.Kumar assured the members of the families of those securitymen who are in the captivity of naxals wil be released safely.
