In Andhra Pradesh, fasting YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan Reddy was forcibly shifted to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad last evening. Opposing the bifurcation of the state, he is on indefinite fast since the past five days. Police have shifted him following the advice of a team of doctors from the Osmania Government hospital. Despite barricading of the the fasting camp near his residence in Hyderabad, party workers made a bid in vain to prevent the police from shifting their leader to hospital.

The employees have, however, assured all assistance in cyclone relief work while continuing their strike.
