In Kerala, two local leaders of the CPI-M, Karayi Rajan and Karayi Chandrasekharan, both accused in the Fasal murder case, surrendered before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court in Ernakulam this evening. Karayi Rajan is the CPI-M Kannur District Secretariat member, while Karayi Chandrasekharan the party's Thiruvangad Local Secretary. The magistrate remanded them to 14 days judicial custody. The Court had yesterday issued a non-bailable warrant against them.Fasal was murdered in October 2006 at Thalassery, after he switched allegiance from the CPI-M and joined the National Development Front.
