Rural Development Minister Birender Singh has said that farmers need to be made a more integral part of the economy. Speaking at a CII workshop in New Delhi, Mr Singh said farmers required better irrigation and infrastructure. He noted that a large number of youths with a farming background are no longer interested in pursuing agriculture.
