Fake Indian currency seized by BSF jawans in West Bengal

In West Bengal, BSF jawans in two separate seizures caught fake Indian currency amounting to Rs. two lakh sixty eight thousand and apprehended the smuggler besides recovering arms and ammunitions from the trans-border couriers on the South Bengal Frontier yesterday and in the wee hours today.<br/><br/>The fake Indian Currency Notes were seized in Link Road vicinity near Kaliachak in Malda border area, R P S Jaswal, DIG, South Bengal informed AIR today. Two mobile phones with 4 SIM cards were also recovered from an aprrehended perso. This person along with the seized currency was handed over to the Baishnabnagar Police Station.<br/><br/>In another incident in the wee hours today, a Special BSF Ambush Party noticed movement of a number of suspected persons in Bagdah border area. Upon challenged, the miscreants managed to escape taking advantage of high bushes and foggy weather. They left behind a plastic bag containing one Pistol, two Magazine, two Desi Kattas and three Air Guns. The seized arms have been handed over to the Police.
