Indian Customs officials have recovered fake Indian currency notes to the tune of 5 lakh rupees from the Samjhauta Express during a search at the Attari Railway station in Amritsar, yesterday. The counterfieit Indian currency was recovered when the custom officials rummaged the bogies after the arrival of the train from Pakistan and found 10 bundles of notes hidden in the ceiling of one of the boggies. The search was conducted on a specific tip off from BSF. The notes were in the denomination of 500 rupees and were reportedly made from fine quality paper.
