Fake currency smuggling substantially comes down :Venkaiah

Government has said fake currency smuggling has substantially come down from nearly 44 crore rupees in 2015 to 27.70 crore rupees in September this year citing National Crime Records Bureau data. In a series of tweets, Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu said, the fake currency smuggling at India- Bangladesh border was on the rise over the past eight years and it got down from 2.87 crore rupees in 2015 to 1.53 crore in 2016. <br/><br/>Mr. Naidu said everyone, be it literate or illiterate, rich or poor, are lending their support to the Prime Minister's drive against black money and corruption. The Minister said one should salute the common Indian for bearing temporary inconvenience due to demonetisation.
