The Member of Parliament from Faizabad and senior Congress leader Nirmal Khatri has been appointed as President of the state unit of Congress in Uttar Pradesh. He will be replacing MLA Rita Bahuguna Joshi.Our Allahabad correspondent reports that Ms Joshi had put in her papers after the dismal performance of party in the March state assembly polls.
