HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said in the Lok Sabha on Friday that Class V and Class VIII students failing in their annual examinations will be given a second chance in May every year to reduce detentions. <br/><br/>He enumerated the measures being taken by the government to improve the training of teachers. The House passed the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Bill to extend the deadline to December 2019 for untrained teachers to get qualified, which he piloted.
